And with breath, song, 2014, Kate Gorringe-Smith, photo Paula Quintela. Bird species: Grey Shrike Thrush,
This callout has now ended and all the birds have writers working with them. Thank you to everyone who submitted an EOI and for all the wonderful support for this project.

This is an invitation to writers and poets who may wish to contribute to Bimblebox 153 Birds.
There are a few new (to the list) bird species that have been identified at the Bimblebox Nature Refuge over the past 18 months. As bird species are identified at Bimblebox I then add them to the project and find them a writer, artist and Boyd brings a new musician on board. All of the bird species listed below are in need of a writer. (each of the birds already has an artist)
If you are a writer and/or poet and would like to contribute to Bimblebox 153 Birds, please read on.
The bird species currently available are:
Pacific Baza Aviceda subcristata
Painted Button Quail Turnix varius
Peregrine Falcon Falco peregrinus
Pink-eared Duck Malacorhynchus membranaceus
Spotted Nightjar Eurostopodus argus
If you are interested please send me an EOI via the below contact form. Include your name, contact email, a short paragraph about you and a couple of links to your work. If you would prefer to send me examples of your work via email, we can do this once you get in touch. EOI’s will be accepted until Sunday, 19 August, 2018.
Writers selected from the EOI’s will be asked to contribute poetry or prose 200 words or less, about their particular bird species. Each writers completed work will be contributed via an audio file (of them reading their writing) and a word file.
