Images and stories from previous camps can be found here and here.

The Bimblebox Nature Refuge is approximately 450km west of Rockhampton and approximately 50km north of Alpha (Queensland), and is an 8000 hectare, never been cleared, woodland environment in the Desert Uplands Region of central western Queensland.

The Bimblebox Nature Refuge is supposed to be protected for perpetuity, but instead it has been fighting against big coal for more than 15 years. During 2022 the Bimblebox Alliance went to the Land Court of Qld to object to the Galilee Coal Project. On 3 April 2023 the Qld Environment Minister refused Waratah Coal’s Environmental Authority.
