I am a resident of redlands and did not know this show was on. I only came across it on a casual visit to the gallery. As a student at Queensland College of Art, Griffith University I am very impressed by this exhibition and it has led me to think about directions in my own art practice. I believe social commentary and interpretation is central to the relevancy of art in community as a leading medium of critical discourse. At a time when fiscal austerity is being ideologically forced upon us it is increasingly important that venues such as Redlands gallery continue to be supported by all citizens. Well done for bringing this beautiful exhibition to the Redlands.
