Dr Pamela Croftwarcon speaks to ABC radio about experiencing the Bimblebox Nature Refuge and the artwork that she in collaboration with artists Kayleen Butler and Howard Butler produced about this special place. Follow the link below and listen…
Bimblebox Nature Refuge about 50km NW of Alpha is 8000 hectares of native bushland, and part of the National Reserve system of protected areas. However this land is under threat from coal mining and it’s the potential loss of this environment that has stimulated a group of artists to produce an exhibition of a rich variety of artworks.
Bimblebox : art – science – nature is a nationally touring exhibition which opens this weekend at the Rockhampton Art Gallery and features a selection of local, state and interstate artists’ works.
Pamela Croftwarcon is one of the Rockhampton artists involved in this exhibition.
Good work
Thanks jill
